VIN 1FM5K8D85GGA63607 — 2016 FORD EXPLORER Auction History

A Built-Tough 2016 FORD EXPLORER, finished in Black, sold for $2,150 on June 17, 2026 out of York Springs, York Springs, PA . FoMoCo powertrain: 3.5L V-6 DOHC, VVT, 290HP + Automatic, Gasoline fuel, no rebuild surprises in the IAAI record.

142,225 mi on a Built-Tough FORD EXPLORER reads as serviceable. normal wear & tear damage rarely strips the EXPLORER of resale potential when FoMoCo parts inventory is alive; the IAAI record kept it in salvage, not parts-only.

Front-end strikes on a FORD EXPLORER of the 2016 model year typically affect the Normal Wear & Tear components: bumper structure, lighting, crash bars, hood. The crash structure ahead of the 3.5L V-6 DOHC, VVT, 290HP firewall does its job at low and medium speeds.

Right Front damage as a follow-on event raises the inspection bar on the unibody. Rebuilders should look for door-gap deviation across the strike side before committing.
