VIN 1FTCR14X5VPA69250 — 1997 FORD RANGER Auction History

This 1997 FORD RANGER, finished in White, sold on September 16, 2026 at CA - Sun Valley, USA, CA for $225. F-Series pedigree shows in the 4.0L 6 paired with the Automatic — a familiar FORD combination, with Gas fuel keeping the running costs in a known bracket.

At 174,180 mi the lot sits in a serviceable range; side damage is typically repairable on the RANGER body and F-Series aftermarket parts are widely available. The Copart listing closed without title surprises that would push it into parts-only territory.

This was not the first time the VIN appeared at auction — see the timeline below for the prior sale. F-Series RANGERs frequently cycle through Copart/IAAI as rebuilders flip them post-repair.

A Side-coded 1997 FORD RANGER lot shows door, B-pillar, side curtain airbag, fender and rocker panel. side curtain deployment and B-pillar deformation is the costly diagnosis to confirm; door shell swap and rocker-panel weld is the standard repair scope.

Bidding above the parts-only threshold requires confirming side curtain deployment is absent. Consult an estimator on the 4.0L 6 drivetrain and structural rails before committing.

Repeat at auction: this 1997 FORD RANGER sold twice. The first sale: September 14, 2026. The latest: September 16, 2026. The timeline shows how price reacted to title and damage changes.
